As the Corporate Accounting Supervisor at Carrols Corporation, under the direction of the Corporate Accounting Manager, the Corporate Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the review of certain daily, weekly and monthly accounting functions.
This position provides supervision and development of the Staff Accountants.
Key Job Responsibilities :
- Responsible for documentation of procedures and recommendations for improvements
- Responsible for development of staff accountants
- Prepare monthly journal entry query to ensure compliance with the company journal entry policy.
- Review medical analyses and propose monthly provisions as appropriate.
- Review professional and legal fees accruals for accuracy and completeness.
- Review utility accruals and related P&L actual versus budget variance explanations
- Review monthly trial balance activity and follow up as appropriate.
- Review monthly reconciliations for various GL accounts.
- Review annual budgets for various GL accounts.
- Provide support for internal and external auditors for quarterly, interim and year-end requests.
- Back up for approval of People Soft hierarchy changes
- Back up for People Soft layout changes
- Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects or analyses.
Requirements & Qualifications :
- 4-year degree in Accounting required.
- 3-5 years Corporate Accounting department experience required.
- Possess strong Microsoft application skills including Excel.
- Knowledge of People Soft preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience desired but not required.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - 85,000 per year depending on experience. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
