Job Title : Controller
Job Description
Manage and support direct reports. Responsible for direct reports' training and performance appraisals. Must be able to audit, analyze, and report on statistical analysis.
Execute the needs of the finance department in a professional and strategic manner. Interface with other service center functional groups (service, dispatch, fleet, customer service, purchasing) to evaluate the financial impact of current / future activities.
Install and monitor financial controls within various integrated data systems and reporting functions. Monitor key performance indicators to identify and report trends in the business requiring review.
Conduct profitability studies and cost reduction analyses for all operating areas of the facility. Coordinate the development of monthly financial statements, quarterly forecasts, and annual operating and capital plans.
Oversee data systems and integration to ensure workflows meet the requirements of the finance department, GAAP, and / or the needs of operations.
Perform month-end and year-end close procedures. Provide oversight for job costing, inventory management, and related audit control.
Review and reconcile account balances and oversee billing, credit, and collections. Prepare annual departmentalized budgets.
Oversee and support the payroll process. Identify legal risks and work to mitigate financial risk for the organization.
Hard Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
- Minimum of 7 years of managerial accounting experience
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Intermediate FP&A experience
- Preparation of annual budgets
- ADP Payroll
- ERP Integrated Accounting systems
- Intermediate or expert proficiency in Microsoft Office products (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
