Seeking Custodians for logistics facility in Bessemer, AL (47 / 20)
- $15.00 / hour
- composite-toe shoes / boots required
Shifts :
- Sun-Weds, 7 : 30p-6a
- Weds-Sat, 7 : 30p-6a
Essential Janitorial Duties and Responsibilities :
General Cleaning - Restrooms, Plant Area, Break Rooms, Conference Rooms, etc., This is a PHYSICALLY DEMANDING position. It entails A LOT of walking (miles a day) and includes emptying trashes (heavy lifting) and cleaning outside areas (make 7 : 30p-6amsure to bring coat) : Yard area, guard shack, smoke area, etc.
While janitorial is a good part of the services we offer, we also handle various other tasks. Tasks include, but are not limited to :
- Removing and Bailing Cardboard
- Moving and stacking Pallets
- Floor cleaning
- Fork truck operation
- Qualifications : ;
- Previous experience in a janitor, custodian, cleaner or housekeeping position preferred
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50 lbs.
- Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Must have reliable transportation
