About the Role :
Our client is looking for a meticulous and dedicated Compliance Analyst to join their team, focusing on compliance in affordable housing, specifically within the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program.
This role involves reviewing tenant and applicant files for LIHTC eligibility, working within our client’s proprietary software, and ensuring that all reports and reviews meet regulatory standards.
You’ll collaborate with clients, provide compliance guidance, and maintain documentation. This is a full-time position offering excellent benefits and the opportunity to work in a meaningful field that directly supports affordable housing initiatives.
What You’ll Do :
File Review & Compliance Reporting : Use our client’s specialized software to assess tenant and applicant eligibility for the LIHTC program.
You’ll compile audit and review reports from client-provided PDFs, generate Excel reports, and communicate with clients to clarify eligibility and compliance standards.
Compliance Training & Knowledge Updates : Participate in regular trainings on LIHTC regulations (at least once a year) and stay current with federal, state, and local compliance requirements.
Research and advise clients on compliance best practices, updating shared resources to reflect the latest regulatory guidance.
Documentation & Deadline Management : Organize files and reports by review dates and maintain a clear audit trail within a networked environment.
Keep track of deadlines, update work on shared trackers, and ensure timely completion of all client requests.
- Collaborative Team Support : Work closely with other Compliance Analysts to manage team workload. Provide backup coverage when team members are on leave.
- Communication & Workflow Coordination : Regularly inform supervisors about your workload so they can adjust team assignments as needed.
Assist in keeping the website’s reference materials updated and contribute ideas for blog content related to compliance and best practices.
What You’ll Bring :
Proficiency with Technology : Experience working in a Windows-based environment, with strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Familiarity with using and navigating compliance software is highly beneficial.
- Strong Communication Skills : You’ll be directly interacting with clients, so clarity and professionalism in both written and verbal communication are essential.
- Attention to Detail : Your work involves detailed file reviews and adherence to strict deadlines and regulatory guidelines.
Strong organizational skills and accuracy are a must.
Adaptability & Team Spirit : Ability to collaborate and contribute within a team of Compliance Analysts. Willingness to ask questions and seek support when needed, and a proactive approach to workload management and workflow improvements.
