One of Medix’s top ranked clients is a leading healthcare system looking to add to their team due to growth. The Telecommunications Engineer will provide support onsite to ensure the hospital systems environment is up and running, troubleshoot any hardware or software issues, and support their wireless phone systems and other wireless equipment.

Day to Day responsibilities :
- System Installation and Configuration : Set up and configure Cisco call center solutions, including Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX) and Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM).
- Call Routing Management : Design and implement call routing strategies to ensure efficient handling of patient inquiries, support calls, and emergency communications.
- Performance Monitoring : Continuously monitor call center performance metrics, such as call volume, wait times, and agent efficiency, to identify areas for improvement.
- Troubleshooting and Support : Provide technical support for call center operations, diagnosing and resolving issues related to the Cisco telephony systems promptly.
- Integration with Other Systems : Collaborate with IT teams to integrate call center software with other hospital systems, such as electronic health records (EHR) and patient management systems.
- System Upgrades and Maintenance : Plan and execute software upgrades, patches, and maintenance for Cisco call center systems to keep them up to date and secure.
- Working heavily with Cisco Call Manager, WebEx, SpectraLink, etc
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 4 years experience working as a telecommunications engineer specializing within Cisco products
- Experience providing technical support within a healthcare environment (bonus)
- Prior experience with wireless phone systems integrating with nurse paging systems and other clinical apps
- Ability to work onsite and provide on-call support when needed
- Ability to work independently
Compensation range : $45-55 / hour which depends on number of years experience
