Core Purpose
The Relationship Manager serves as the primary contact for clients and is responsible for delivering TTC’s client promise and building strong individual, family, and company relationships.
While demonstrating a thorough knowledge of services. This position will also focus on achieving performance standards, maintaining a culture of outstanding service, and developing new business across The Trust Company of Tennessee.

Responsibilities
- Shows a commitment to The Trust Company’s Mission, Core Values, and Client Promise.
- Maintains positive client relationships by meeting with clients regularly to review accounts, discuss personal / life changes, and update and discuss client holdings and IPS.
- Provides superior client services by providing thorough follow-up documentation and timely responses to clients and associated professionals including all meeting summary letters and correspondence.
- Utilizes TTC-sponsored and community events to engage with prospects, clients, and high-level centers of influence COIs to enhance current relationships and uncover new relationship opportunities.
- Develops and maintains a deep understanding of current investment and asset allocation options in partnership with the Investment Committee.
- Effectively communicates TTC’s Investment Philosophy and Processes with clients, COIs, and prospects.
- Upholds fiduciary standards when serving TTC clients, including documenting discretionary actions taken by TTC and completing annual fiduciary reviews for each trust account.
- Develops and implements distribution plans according to a trust’s terms and the needs of beneficiaries.
- Administers trusts in collaboration with the Legal, Tax and Unique Assets Teams and others to provide an outstanding client experience.
- Proactively manages the interests of clients, beneficiaries, co-trustees, and trust protectors with careful consideration of family dynamics.
- Reviews and interprets trust agreements, wills, and other estate planning documents to limit regulatory and legal risk.
- Possesses, maintains, and develops industry-specific technical knowledge by attending relevant training.
- Within established parameters, provides guidance to Personal Trust clients concerning account additions and distributions, including tax consequences.
- Seeks guidance from third party providers to appropriately address elder law concerns as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, trust, or wealth management preferred
- Three to five years of experience in relationship and investment management specific to Personal Trusts preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with a wide range of client personalities and demographics
- Experience with High-Net-Worth clients a plus
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize multiple deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
