PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Nuclear Plant Cycle Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining the online cycle plan work schedule between refuel outages (Cycle Plan) at the Crane Clean Energy Center in Middletown, PA.
This includes organizing all corrective and preventative maintenance, surveillance, post-maintenance tests, and modification activities within each work window.
The Cycle Planner presents the proposed work window schedule to the Cycle Manager each week for final work scope and initial activity sequencing in accordance with the Work Management Process.
- Review and schedule new activities as they enter the schedule.
- Adjust predefined place keepers as needed.
- Ensure consistent scope from E-12 to E-5 to minimize inefficiency by coordinating interdepartmental activities.
- Identify and suggest continuous improvements to the Work Management Process.
- Lead teams in online project (LCO) planning and act as HIT team leader for Work Management related plans and improvements.
- Coordinate with T&S, Operations, and Power Delivery to ensure optimal switchyard material condition, minimal plant risk, and maximum grid output.
- Ensure proper identification and coding of Functional Equipment Groups / work windows on Action Requests and Work Requests as a WC screening committee representative / chairperson.
- Develop initial E-18 schedule products for delivery to the Cycle Manager and System Engineers, ensuring proper bundling of work to minimize equipment out-of-service time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- At least 6 years of nuclear plant operations, maintenance / supply, work management experience, or engineering / INPO, of which 3 years are at the professional / exempt level
- Proficiency in personal computer and mainframe usage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for intradepartmental communication
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Supervisory experience
- Knowledge of critical path scheduling method
- Degree in Engineering or Technical field
- SRO License or Certification
