SUMMARY :

The Product Manager will play a lead role defining, designing, and delivering best solutions that enable best in class digital customer experiences.

The successful candidate will bring their proven experience establish and promote a vision for their assigned product that deliver upon the strategic business objectives and loyalty brand strategy as defined by key stakeholders across property operations, casino operations and marketing.

In this capacity, the product manager will work closely with key leaders to ensure delivery of solutions are effective, forward thinking and provide a competitive advantage for the company.

The successful candidate will leverage their extensive product management experience to define capabilities and drive the prioritization of a roadmap informed by data supported insights, emerging technologies, quality, and engineering effort.

The selected candidate will be a visionary who will help shape the future of Penn’s digital capabilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary :

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Assume ownership of the transformation, evolution and stability of Penn’s products and solutions
  • Establish and drive KPIs and targets for new capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate business cases and roadmap for new capabilities.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify requirements and translate them into new products, features, user stories and technical stories.
  • Participates in the grooming and prioritization of product backlog to ensure work is fully prepared for engineering team.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis and maintain marketplace awareness.
  • Daily / Weekly / Monthly reporting on product performance
  • Build trusting long-term relationships with cross-functional business and engineering teams.
  • Own, execute, and manage quality assurance and user acceptance testing associated with products / solutions.
  • Conduct regular product steering committee meetings with senior leadership that review product roadmap, priorities, product stability and status of active workstreams.
  • Oversee and monitor problems associated with product as it relates to understanding and managing product stability.
  • Measure the success of product features through rapid data-informed iteration.

An individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong understanding of the software development life cycle;

Experience in systems design and implementation preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or business-related field
  • 5-7 years of work experience within similar role
  • Forward thinker who designs for not only current business needs but long-term opportunities and trends
  • Effective verbal, written and presentation skills required.
  • Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Proven experience working in an Agile environment including defining and documenting product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills enabling strong interactions with colleagues of varying levels across functions.
  • Ability to work independently, identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in prioritization or schedules of items in the work queue, as necessary.
  • Must have excellent project and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to drive results and be proactive when working on tasks.
  • Must have a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must have strong customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Must have a proven track record of leading numerous projects simultaneously, establishing effective priorities among competing requirements and meeting deadlines while demonstrating a successful hands-on approach to overseeing all assigned projects.
  • Must possess strong administrative, analytical, time and project management and decision-making skills.
  • Must have experience working directly with customers in understanding business needs required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
