Responsibilities
Perform activities or tasks in specialty pharmacy services. Perform specialized areas as medicine history, buyer and other inventory related areas, nuclear, and PAP as a pharmacy technician.
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing system.
- Prepare orders and maintains inventory for the specialty pharmacy areas.
- Repackage bulk medications.
- Receive and store incoming supplies.
- Serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing necessary information.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration :
Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association preferred.
Education :
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree / Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
This pharmacy does immunizations, so need to have national certification from PTCB or NHA
Two schedules available :
- Monday-Friday 11am-4pm
- Monday / Thursday / Friday 9am-5 : 30pm
