About the Job :

This position requires the loading, unloading, and movement of materials to and from trucks and / or rooftops, utilizing physical strength and / or operating equipment such as forklifts or conveyors.

While performing duties, the employee must stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, talk, hear, and possess the coordination and physical capability to operate machinery safely.

Regular lifting and / or moving of up to 75+ pounds is required.

Requirements

Essential Functions (Material Loader / Helper) :

• Participate in manually loading orders onto outgoing trucks, lifting repetitively up to 75 lbs.
• Accompany drivers to job sites, assisting in guiding trucks to and from customer properties to prevent damage.
• Properly unload materials onto roofs, employing repetitive lifting or conveyor use at job sites.
• Assist customers in loading vehicles.
• Count, verify, and manually unload incoming orders and shipments.
• Maintain inventory in designated storage areas within the warehouse.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Emphasis on safety.
• General warehouse cleanup and maintenance.

Qualifications :

• Must be physically fit to repetitively lift 75 lbs. (with a team member).
• Experience operating a forklift is preferred.
• Effective communication skills with customers and coworkers.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States, passing a drug screen, and background check required.

Work Environment :

The work environment for this position is dynamic and physically demanding, requiring individuals to be adaptable and resilient.

Work may occur indoors and outdoors, including warehouse facilities, and customer job sites. Employees should be prepared to work in diverse environments and weather conditions.

Employees in this role should be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding work environment that requires diligence, coordination, and a commitment to safety.

Physical Demands :

• Employees will be required to lift and move materials weighing up to 75+ pounds regularly.
• Stand and walk for extended periods while loading, unloading, and moving materials.
• Manual handling of materials, including grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items to and from trucks and rooftops.
• Use hands extensively to handle materials, operate equipment such as forklifts or conveyors, and perform tasks that require dexterity and coordination.
• May involve reaching overhead or stooping to access materials or equipment in various locations, requiring flexibility and agility.
• Some tasks may require kneeling or crawling to access low-lying or confined spaces, necessitating physical agility and comfort with changing body positions.
• Must also communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work :

This position is full-time, with workdays scheduled from Monday to Friday, and occasional Saturdays. Work hours may vary.

Travel :

Travel is not required for this position.

Required Education and Experience :

Education : High school diploma or equivalent

Experience : Previous experience in roofing materials is advantageous. While possessing a forklift operational certificate is preferred, it is not mandatory.
