Project Manager - Security Industry

Salary Range : 80,000 salary

Travel throughout client portfolio properties in New England is required

Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed. Work schedule may include evenings or night shifts and weekends / holidays as determined and scheduled annually

Description :

Provide direct support for the Client's property management team and Northeast Security (NES) in coordinating key initiatives, security support, and activities.

Oversee and manage specialized functions and projects for the Boston Region including planning, RFPs, program enhancements and roll-outs, and the interface with business partners, vendors, and clients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Manage and conduct all aspects of special project organization, planning and execution as assigned to ensure overall effectiveness and professional consistency in the achievement of the Client's regional security objectives.
  • Oversee, coordinate and facilitate special projects that impact multiple areas of the Boston Region.
  • Serve as liaison to all Boston Region divisions to coordinate efforts to implement solutions, and to improve analytic capabilities, reporting and information support.
  • Manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform appropriate quantitative and qualitative analyses to support the objectives of assigned projects.
  • Participate in business development and strategic planning activities.
  • Play active role in tracking, monitoring and keeping senior management appraised of Boston Region activities.
  • Manage preparation of presentations for Quarterly Reports regarding Boston Region achievements.
  • Build working relationships with outside and on-site vendors necessary for the success of projects assigned
  • Assist in overseeing administrative and operational functions including TrackTik, billing, accounts receivable, scheduling, employee performance management, internal investigations etc.

  • Review and submit all required reports, updates (project) and other documentation to client representative
  • Responsible for the conduct of periodic audits of different facets of the security program to ensure integrity and compliance with the processes in place
  • Work with all levels in the organization to identify, analyze and solve problems and create opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Assist regional and corporate managers by performing floating assignments
  • Develop and maintain good NES relations with the client including electronic communication, in-person meetings, scheduled property management / tenant meetings
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information and data
  • Keep records and prepare accurate and timely reports both manually and through automated methods
  • Apprise the Client and Senior NES Management of security and safety developments in a timely manner
  • Actively participate in community and business-related organizations
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required
  • Provide assistance to members of the Client's Management and / or the Boston Region on special projects as requested.
  • Perform other functions as assigned by the Director of Safety and Security, Asst. Director of Safety and Security, NES Leadership and / or Vice President-Property Management-Boston Region.

Requirements :

  • Education required : BS / BA or higher preferred.
  • Four years or more of business management experience including at least one (1) year of contract security officer management experience preferred.

College degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Criminal Justice a plus

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment and show a proficiency in basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Access Control Systems, etc
  • Some knowledge and experience with the use of quality and / or continuous improvement tools, techniques, practices, etc
  • Ability to conform to complex procedures
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment and to help identify and solve problems
  • Ability to get along with other employees, follow directions, works under stress and continuously improves
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, supervisors and the public
  • Ability to deal with internal and external customers and to ensure compliance with fair employment practice.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include working evenings, weekends and holidays as requested or required.

  • High School Diploma / GED Equivalent
  • Candidates must also be able to successfully pass ALL pre-employment background, and drug screenings.
