Our Bellevue office is seeking electrical engineering interns with a preference toward those who are planning an emphasis in power engineering and control systems.
Our typical projects in the transportation infrastructure industry include :
Airports and aviation facilities
Large roadway tunnels
Bridges
Light rail systems including stations, tunnels, and tracks
Complex architectural projects maintenance facilities, stadiums, and buildings within our core industries
The primary focus of this internship will include contributing to computer power system and lighting modeling and analysis, selection and design of power system architectures, specification of electrical and lighting equipment, and final design of the electrical and lighting systems.
Interns will bring heavy coordination and excellent communication with other engineering disciplines that need power to their critical equipment.
Relocation and housing are NOT provided for these positions.
What You’ll Do :
Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need :
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program
What You’ll Bring :
Understands engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles at a basic level.
Shows proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Accepts and applies direction from peers and supervisors.
Obtains an understanding of introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures and requirements.
Ability to perform basic engineering calculations
Ability to organize information for use in drawings or other documents
What We Prefer :
Completion of 2 years of post-secondary education and enrollment in electrical engineering program
Strong interest in electrical power and control systems
Computer-aided drafting experience
