Family Law Attorney

Job Overview :

A respected law firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Law Associate Attorney to join its Mt. Laurel, New Jersey office. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated attorney with 1 to 6 years of experience in family law who is eager to manage a diverse caseload involving divorce, custody, support, and related matters. The role offers immediate client interaction, courtroom experience, and the opportunity to grow within a well-established family law team.

Location :

Mt. Laurel, New Jersey

Duties :

Handle a broad range of family law matters including divorce, custody, parenting time, child and spousal support, equitable distribution, and domestic violence

Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements

Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences

Conduct legal research and develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys

Maintain regular communication with clients and provide strategic guidance throughout each stage of their case

Participate in discovery and case management tasks

Attend internal meetings and contribute to the development of the family law practice group

Requirements :

1–6 years of family law experience

Ability to manage multiple active matters with efficiency and attention to detail

Experience conducting hearings or trials (preferred but not required)

Strong client service orientation and ability to handle sensitive issues professionally

Education :

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications :

Active license to practice law in the state of New Jersey (required)

Skills :

Strong litigation, negotiation, and written advocacy skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Effective time management and organizational skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Empathetic, client-centered approach to legal representation
