Description
ISANA Academies currently has an opportunity for an experienced Educational Technology (EdTech) Creative Media Specialist.
The EdTech Creative Media Specialist shall be responsible for ISANA Academies web-based, distance learning systems, and applications such as the ISANA website, Google Classroom, SeeSaw, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft SharePoint, among others.
- The EdTech Creative Media Specialist effectively communicates with faculty, staff, students, information technology management, creative media, and other team members.
- The EdTech Creative Media Specialist shall utilize the ISANA Academies Help Desk ticketing system to manage and prioritize tasks and projects.
- The EdTech Creative Media Specialist shall be responsible for supporting the development of the school's high-quality digital learning platform as well as assisting teachers with posting online course content and delivery.
- Other responsibilities shall include website programming and content creation as well as end-user training on the efficient utilization of the school's online digital platforms.
- The EdTech Creative Media Specialist makes extensive use of educational computing technologies which include but are not limited to the following : audio and visual creative media, website user interface design, student information systems (SIS), online instructional learning content and delivery, social media, current and emerging educational technology trends, Google Apps, Google Admin Console and other Google tools, document projectors, Microsoft Office applications, and web development best practices.
- Familiarity with mobile technologies, security, privacy (COPPA, FERPA, CIPA), PowerSchool or other SIS, Clever SSO, online assessment and instruction (i-Ready, etc.) applications.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education technology or related AND two years of relevant educational technology experience OR an equivalent combination of training, technical certifications, and charter school experience.
Job Requirements
Applicants with at least two years related experience and an understanding of the following shall be considered :
- Presenting a positive demeanor along with a strong customer service ethic
- Educational hardware / software installation, configuration, and end-user support
- Training of teacher, staff, and students on educational technology platforms
- Online instruction and assessment applications (e.g. i-Ready)
- Student information systems (PowerSchool)
- Google Classroom or other LMS
- LMS-SIS integration
- WordPress website development
- Web development, HTML, JavaScript, Controls, and CSS
- SharePoint Intranet development
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Videography and video editing
- Facilitate and enhance parent-teacher communication through technology
- Help desk ticketing software
- Familiarity with basic networking
- Familiarity with Office 365 SharePoint
- Problem troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolutionMust be able to work under minimal supervision while demonstrating creative, in-depth problem solving, and critical reasoning skills.
Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to end-user needs coupled with professionalism and exceptional customer service is a high priority.
This position shall, as needed, require local travel and occasional evening / weekend work.
