Position Information Vacancy Number : F-00394 Position Title : Assistant Professor, Molecular Biology Classification Title : Faculty Department : Biology and Environmental Science Employment Type : Full-Time Special Instructions to Applicant : The Department of Biology and Environmental Sciences at Auburn University at Montgomery is seeking to fill two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions.
The new positions will enhance existing research strengths in cell and molecular biology to support a proposed interdisciplinary MS program in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
Preference will be given to candidates pursuing research topics that emphasize training in fields related to biomedicine or biotechnology.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. (relevant postdoctoral experience preferred) and will be expected to develop a funded research program involving undergraduate and graduate students.
The successful applicants also will participate in undergraduate and graduate instruction.
Auburn University at Montgomery is a comprehensive, public institution located in Montgomery, a progressive city and state capitol of Alabama.

The Department of Biology and Environmental Science includes eleven tenure-track faculty and offers undergraduate degrees in Biology or Environmental Science, and a graduate degree in Geographic Information Systems.
