A law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Of Counsel for their Sacramento office.
Job Overview :
The Employment Litigation Of Counsel will defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims, advise and counsel employers on employment and labor law issues, and represent employers in various legal proceedings.
Duties :
- Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and agency charges
- Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law issues
- Represent employers in court, arbitration, administrative agencies, and mediations in employment matters
- Handle class / collective actions and cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete agreements
- Preferably, possess experience with class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims
- Supervise associate and paralegal work, including delegating assignments and providing feedback
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of current agency procedures at both state and federal levels
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
- Pay close attention to detail and uphold a commitment to excellence
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Possess strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
- Current California Bar admission in good standing
- 9+ years of experience in employment litigation, with significant experience managing and running litigation cases in a first-chair capacity
Skills :
- Supervisory experience
- In-depth understanding of employment laws and regulations

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Experience :
