A Counsel will generally have at least five years of experience as an attorney, preferably in the financial services industry.

A Counsel will have significant responsibility for legal service to, and resolution of legal issues for, several clients.

A Counsel must demonstrate an ability to work with general direction from more senior attorneys on complex clients and possibly work independently on less complex clients.

In addition, a Counsel must demonstrate a good working knowledge of the 1940 Act.

What you will be responsible for

As Counsel you will be responsible for :

  • Keeping current with legal developments.
  • Supervising the preparation of materials for Board and shareholder meetings and you may attend meetings, record minutes of meetings and pursue issues raised at meetings.
  • Managing the preparation of, and coordination of, the filing of all non-financial documents requiring filing under the federal securities laws.
  • Spotting issues relating to clients, researching solutions and coordinating with more senior attorneys to resolve issues.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • J.D. Required
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience

Salary Range :

$120,000 - $202,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
