Busy medical practice seeking experienced accountant / financial business manager for an in-house full-time position in Eugene.
Preferred candidates will have experience in a health care setting or busy medical entity, although its not required. An accounting background is required.
You'll be working with a very supportive team, and reporting to the Administrator. Responsibilities and daily tasks will vary, therefore flexibility and an understanding of all facets of accounting and business financial matters is essential.
Willingness to be constantly learning and apply knowledge acquired is valued highly and expected. This is a position that requires mid-level experience (this is not a CFO position), and a firm understanding of financial matters at both a micro and macro level is sought.
Common sense goes a long way!
Responsibilities will vary and range in complexity, but primary tasks will include :
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliations
- Month-end and year-end adjustments and journal entries
- QuickBooks experience required, although moving to a more robust accounting system is not out of the question.
- Accounts payable entries and vendor account reconciliations
- Project management as needed
- General financial reporting and review with Administrator and doctors
- Reports and documents assimilation for bank, government reporting, benefit audits, CPA firm, management meetings, etc.
- General accounting and bookkeeping tasks based on needs
- Acquiring knowledge of reporting within medical software system to produce and assimilate reports for analysis
- Data analysis experience and spreadsheet expertise
- Knowledge of IT would be highly valued.
- Knowledge of HR and benefits administration would be highly valued.
Candidate must be team-oriented, personable, patient, responsible, reliable, and drama free. Attention to detail is imperative, but the preferred candidate should also be flexible and should easily and calmly adapt to changing environments (such as shifts in the economy and in healthcare generally).
The ideal candidate should be pro-active, while simultaneously understanding and acting upon what needs to be done without constant oversight,
