OR Tech I

Job Overview :

A member of the surgical team, acting under the direction of a Registered Nurse, who works with the surgeon and RN in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibility before, during and after surgery.

Qualifications : Required :

Required :

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an OR Technician training program
• 2 3 years of experience
• Must have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines : robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro / spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
• Must be able to make calls. Must be flexible, able to multitask and be able to work independently

Certifications and Licenses Required :

• Certified Surgical Technician, required
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements :

• 7 : 00 am 7 : 00 pm
• Every other weekend with one weekday every other week
• Part Time
