Responsibilities

Registered Nurse Opportunity :

TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT

$ per hour

7am - 7pm & 7pm - 7am shifts available ( hours per week)

$ per hour + Eligible for shift differential where applicable!!

3-month to 6-month temporary assignment with the opportunity to move into a full-time position after the temporary assignment has been completed.

Candidates employed by any UHS facility within the last six months are not eligible for this position.

The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a -bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.

The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages.

We have provided behavioral health services to over Kentucky counties for more than years.

Job Duties include :

• Accurately and timely completes the following duties : new patient admissions, assessment, orders, treatment plan, property inventory, nutritional screening, progress note, patient education, safe and efficient medication administration.
• Provides appropriate crisis intervention as necessary by anticipating and responding quickly to escalating behaviors, utilizing de-escalation techniques to diffuse the situation, correctly prioritizing safety concerns.
• Uses appropriate counseling skills by de-escalating aggression, using active listening skills, using appropriate tone and volume of voice, providing a high frequency and variety of positive reinforcements, maintaining appropriate boundaries, and promoting a positive peer culture.

Experience

• Previous psychiatric, behavioral or mental health nursing experience is required.
• Candidates employed by any UHS facility in the last six months are not eligible for this opportunity.
