Operations Assistant / OJT Coordinator
Seeking a high-energy administrative professional with strong verbal and written communication skills to support our Operations & HR teams.
This person will be organized with an eye for detail. This role will require flexibility and an ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
The right candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, will be capable of handling confidential information discreetly and a desire to work in a team environment.
What You’ll Be Doing :
Under direction from higher management, utilize higher level administrative and communication skills to assist with daily tasks that will address operational issues and ensure activities are running efficiently.
Serves as the plant onsite administrative support and training coordinator, improving retention and training and development initiatives.
Coordinates with HR Generalist. Promotes and assists positive employee engagement and community-relations activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
- Administers local admin and training support to include communication, tracking, and resource scheduling. Connects with HR department functions to maintain company-wide consistency of policy and programs, training, safety, and employee relations.
- Providing excellent employee relations and customer service by acting as a go between higher level managers and employees for daily information, tracking metrics, producing reports, etc.
- Supports manufacturing function :
- Promptly answering questions and relays timely information to employees and managers.
- Forwarding suggestions for improvement to the Manager.
- Reporting and recordkeeping.
- Scheduling meetings, taking notes with action plan tracking as required.
- Tracking down information, assists in action planning and corrective action initiatives.
- Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes
Training Program- Administrative Support
- Conducts required training programs, includes routine and yearly sessions so employees are up to date on compliance and best practices.
- Coordinate schedules and maintain ongoing RFC education courses, teaching if necessary.
- Oversee the daily maintenance of the training programs.
- Training documentation and checklist completions.
- Track structure and accountability to pay for skills programs, i.e. Roll Operator Training Program, CNC, etc.
- Performs administrative duties for O-J-T, assists operations management in scheduling and training plan completions on time.
Ensuring employees are receiving time, rotations, trainers, coaching, to complete development plans.
- Assists supervisors in conducting performance review evaluations, getting scheduled and completed.
- Coordinates opportunities for ongoing development by assisting in a wide variety of learning methods companywide (e.g. workshops, classroom training, coaching, job-shadowing, online training, simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, and development classes).
Other Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualified Candidates will have :
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-6 months administrative experience and / or training
- Ability to operate discreetly with confidential information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and ability to learn and use other software.
- Experience with manufacturing software.
- Willing to work onsite each day and live a commutable distance to Jeffersonville, IN
Preferred Candidates will have :
- One-year certificate form college or technical school
- Knowledge of Powerway system
- Experience with Global Shop
