Position : Maritime Associate Attorney
Salary Range : Anticipated salary between $120,000 - $150,000, adjusted as necessary based on candidate suitability.
Location / On-site : A principal aspect of role will be helping, directing and guiding younger attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants.
In person presence enhances performance of this component. Therefore, in person work is required a their office in Miami, FL.

Summary of the Law Firm : Established in the early 90’s, our client is a distinguished maritime defense firm holding an AV® rating.
Their practice is dedicated to serving a diverse range of clients, including major cruise lines, individual vessel owners, and operators.
They collaborate closely with domestic and international marine insurance underwriters, protection & indemnity associations, and marine lenders.
Their representation in admiralty and maritime matters encompasses civil trial practice, arbitration, and appeals, with engagements spanning state and federal courts across Florida.
Position Overview : In response to growing business demands, the firm seeks to expand its legal team by hiring at least two Maritime Associate Attorneys with 3-7 years of experience.
While litigation and trial experience in federal court are advantageous, they are not mandatory prerequisites. Associates at the firm are provided with opportunities to evolve into accomplished trial lawyers within a renowned firm, contributing significantly to their continued success and reputation.
Responsibilities & Qualifications :
- Licensed to practice law in the state of FL with a JD from an accredited school
- Litigation and trial experience in federal court is a plus, but not a requirement
- The selected candidates will be responsible for managing a caseload, providing supervisory guidance to junior associates, paralegals, and a legal assistant
- Demonstrating strong oral advocacy skills
- Conducting comprehensive legal research
- Drafting substantive pleadings and motions
- Preparing and responding to written discovery requests
- Conducting depositions and representing clients at hearings and trials
