Job Title : Welder
Job Description
We specialize in the manufacture, sale, and service of aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, and specialty equipment for the electric utility, telecommunications, tree care, construction, and light and sign maintenance industries in more than 120 countries.
With a recent expansion allowing for over a 50% production increase, we are currently seeking MIG welders.Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to determine the sequence and methods of assembling components.
- Read and interpret work orders.
- Use basic hand tools such as tape measurer and specialty tools, and operate all equipment within the work area (cell).
- Perform rework as required.
- Support production system initiatives and may participate in RCI events.
- Willing to move to other work areas to support production needs (cross-train).
- Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material, applying knowledge of shop math and layout techniques.
- Perform MIG welding using a variety of arc and gas welding equipment.
- Inspect assembly / components for conformance to specifications.
- Trim, file, grind, sand, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces using hand tools and portable power tools.
- Willingness and ability to train new / current associates.
- Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies, procedures, and practices.
- Maintain work area and shop tools / equipment.
- Maintain daily time records.
- Other job duties as assigned.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in DALEVILLE, Virginia.
Work Environment
Manufacturing / production environment. Not climate controlled. Fast-paced. Performance-driven. Dress code includes preferably plain colored T-Shirts (Blue / Grey), jeans, and steel-toed boots.
All shifts can require overtime and are likely to work 3 out of 4 Saturdays of the month.
