Progress Container & Display , a TRG company and affiliate of Schwarz Partners is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to support our Winder, GA facility! The Customer Service Representative is responsible for taking and processing customer orders and addressing all customer inquiries and complaints.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION :

  • Receive customer orders and order changes either directly from customers or from sales representatives and record, process and place orders timely and accurately.
  • Build cost estimates involving routing, manufacturing, and pricing information.
  • Receive and respond promptly to customer complaints and questions and follow-up with appropriate internal personnel as required to improve customer service.
  • Initiate the ordering of proper tooling and material for manufacturing with appropriate plant personnel.
  • Work with Accounting for account questions or disputes from customers and coordinate accounting credits when necessary.
  • Handle and resolve customer questions and / or problems in areas where customer service representatives need assistance.
  • Fax or e-mail confirmations and other information to customers.
  • Assist sales personnel as appropriate and assist in generating supplemental sales.
  • Track warehouse items to ensure availability and that agreed upon minimum / maximum levels are maintained; analyze monthly usages and re-stocking needs per customer.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

High school diploma or GED.

PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

  • Experience with Amtech is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Computer literate (MS Excel and MS Word).
  • Experience in the corrugated container industry.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES :

  • Computer literate (MS Office including Word and Excel and data entry skills).
  • Application knowledge of products and production processes.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as business and performance reports, operating, and training and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume.
  • Ability to compute rates and ratios.
  • Possess a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or
  • diagram (graphic) form.
  • Ability to solve a variety of problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information or standardization exists.
  • Experience working with production and quoting software such as Amtech, preferred.
