Our client raises their own funds (just like PE does) but they invest in O&G assets like an E&P company does.
So this role is somewhat hybrid, they act like an E&P company in a PE shell.
This role would be heavy in investment decisions like PE but the analysis of O&G assets (heavy A&D, cash flow modeling, etc).

This role offers a unique blend of private equity strategy and traditional E&P functions in the U.S. Deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
You'll be heavily involved in investment decisions while analyzing O&G assets, including financial modeling and valuation.
The work-from-home policy are Mondays and Fridays, coupled with the 9 / 80 schedule, provides a great balance between office collaboration and personal flexibility.

Main Responsibilities :
Financial Analysis and Modeling : Conduct complex financial analysis and modeling for potential acquisitions and project developments.
This involves analyzing returns, developing cash flows, and providing metrics for project decisions.
Project Integration and Management : Coordinate with various departments (engineering, land, marketing, accounting, finance) to evaluate potential acquisitions and update internal project economics.
Commercial Team Collaboration : Work closely with the Commercial Team to integrate project updates and new projects into consolidated financial models.
Strategic Planning : Assist in managing transactions, due diligence, and funding strategies for acquisitions. Also, help develop the fund's strategy in collaboration with the Senior Vice President.
Reporting and Analysis : Generate ad-hoc reports for financial analysis and forecasting purposes. Create variance reports to monitor operational asset performance against forecasts.
Market Analysis : Analyze competitor positions, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital market activities. Monitoring competitor investor presentations, press releases, and quarterly results for relevant information.
Financial Input Management : Provide project economic inputs to the HQ accounting group for loading into multiple databases.
Contract Review and Economic Modeling : Review contracts / agreements and perform economic modeling of exploration, development, and operations projects.
Interface with various departments to ensure accuracy.
Ideal Candidate :
Possess 1-3 years of investment banking or corporate finance experience with a focus on E&P, along with strong financial modeling skills.
Compensation : Ranges from $105k to $120k plus a 40% bonus.
