Position Summary :
The Quality Director provides leadership, direction, and administration of all aspects of quality management activities to ensure compliance with established organizational objectives.
The Director shall have demonstrated experience with quality management principles and the application of system design, reengineering, project management, quality improvement, outcomes, measurement, and statistical analysis.
The Director is responsible for the personnel and work process of the Quality Department, meeting the regulatory requirements for the collection and reporting of required internal and external quality outcomes data.
Will utilize strong interpersonal and professional communications including education skills with hospital staff, physicians and will be able to speak to enhancing quality of care and safety for patients and staff.
Qualifications :
Prefer minimum three years supervisorial experience in quality improvement or related position with proven excellent interpersonal communication and problem solving skills.
Prefer previous participation in a JCAHO, HFAP, or other accreditation body, accreditation survey in the area of Quality Management.
Requires recent acute care clinical experience and knowledge. Must be knowledgeable and have experience with statistics, data collection, analysis, data presentation.
Must possess current knowledge of federal and state quality laws and regulations and hospital quality accreditation standards.
Requires current California Board of Nursing Registered Nurse License.
Certification as Professional in Healthcare Quality preferred.
