Job Description
Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Research Associate
Position type : Contract
Duration : 12 months
Location : San Diego, CA (100% on-site)
As a Research Associate , you will :
Responsibilities :
- Lab operations include RNA / DNA extraction / purification, NGS library preparation & QCs, and loading sequencers
- Development and benchmarking of high-throughput NGS technologies (e.g., DNA-Seq and RNA-Seq assays)
- Develop and edit protocols with standard operating procedures
- Generate, organize, and maintain meticulous records on all conducted experiments
- Work independently and / or with supervision with team members on new assay and protocol development
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to benchmark assays for automation liquid handlers
The ideal candidate will have :
- Bachelor's degree with 0-3 years of professional experience in molecular biology, biotechnology, or biochemistry
- Demonstrated expertise in molecular biology techniques, including DNA / RNA extraction & purification, NGS library preparation & QC, PCR, qPCR, cloning, etc.
- Strong understanding of theory behind techniques, proficient reasoning skills in experimental design and optimizing wet lab techniques, coupled with an exceptional attention to details

Pay Range and Benefits
Pay Range* : $34 - $35 per hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
