Front Desk (Reception) Supervisor This individual is responsible for overview and supervision of patient in-flow and out-flow, patient education, collection of fees, and supervision of the front office, including training, and providing schedules to the Director of Operations and front desk staff.
Education and / or Experience Required : High school diploma or equivalent. Five years’ experience in supervision of front office operations, preferable.
Demonstrable skills in motivating and training professional staff. Essential Skills and Abilities : Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role, one (1) year minimum.
Knowledge of applicable operational and clinical functions. Possess strong customer service skills. Basic organizational skills to ensure a workable, efficient office including organization schedules, electronic paper records and files.
Responsibilities Shares the responsibility of the weekly schedules with the other front desk supervisors. Trains and supervises front office staff (check-in and check-out).
Prepares front desk payroll information. Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases and disciplinary actions. Assist in hiring and training.
Ensures adherence to departmental policies and procedures, including patient privacy. Maintain departmental day-to-day front office operations, monitor and prioritize workflow and efficient patient flow.
