Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Administrator to join our team. The Network Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of our organization's network infrastructure.

This role requires a deep understanding of networking principles, security protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for optimizing network performance.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, configure, and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and other networking technologies.
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement necessary adjustments to optimize network efficiency.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Ensure network security by implementing and enforcing policies, conducting regular security audits, and staying updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and solutions.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with other technology systems, such as servers, storage, and cloud services.
  • Troubleshoot network issues, diagnose and resolve connectivity problems, and provide timely technical support to end-users.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network administration.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support and address urgent network-related incidents.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role, with a strong background in network design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, routing, switching, and subnetting.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds).
  • Strong understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection / prevention systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco, Juniper, or other network equipment vendors.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent, are a plus.
  • Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
