Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join its Web Transaction Systems group.
The Software Engineer will be responsible for working on the user interfaces of our business systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and building the front end UI framework for applications managed by the team with a focus on the user account management and billing systems
- Collaborating with user experience and graphic designers to ensure implementation adheres to the provided specifications and also fits with our framework and style guide
- Collaborating with team members to integrate their backend API changes seamlessly with the front end framework
- Working closely with quality assurance to test, debug and release quality code updates
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Expert experience working with Angular, HTML, CSS, TypeScript and JavaScript
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot (or a related framework)
- Experience with source control systems like Git
- Experience using project tracking tools like Jira
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet goals and deadlines with accuracy and reliability
- Proven ability to interact with cross-functional teams, such as user experience, design and development
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with NodeJS
- Experience with Wolfram Language

Job title : Release Coordinator
Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Release Coordinator for our Business Operations Initiatives department.
The Release Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Wolfram products to our customers and assisting with business operations projects associated with purchasing, product downloads, activation and upgrades.
The Release Coordinator will help plan, coordinate and monitor all operational release activities and changes, with a strong focus on process automation and continuous improvement.
This position requires a high degree of initiative and proactive problem solving, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate and interface with the technical development, quality assurance, release engineering and operational teams.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment and has an enthusiasm for new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in managing the operational release process for Wolfram products
- Creating and maintaining detailed checklists for product releases and requirements
- Creating tickets and tracking the progress of tasks, related projects and action items to support the release process
- Continuously updating and improving the documentation related to release processes
- Monitoring and communicating the status, risks and resources for the entire operational product release cycle
- Identifying, conveying and tracking release milestones, ensuring timely delivery
- Preparing agendas for, assisting with leading, and recording detailed notes for meetings and following up on action items
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams within the company to ensure seamless operations
- Assisting in establishing, documenting and improving internal processes, focusing on operational efficiency
- Maintaining project pages and dashboards, ensuring information is up to date
- Tracking and communicating project risks, addressing issues proactively
- Triaging business system problems effectively and efficiently
- Reacting quickly to changes and upcoming requests, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing processes
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 1+ years of experience in project coordination or similar roles
- Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Ability to interact with directors, managers and cross-functional teams
- High degree of initiative and proactive problem solving
- Experience with Jira or other project or task management software
- Experience with Wolfram Language, Mathematica or other technical software is a plus
