Field Service Engineer - Controls

Join a NICET-certified electrical testing, engineering, controls, and automation company. We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide top-notch services in electrical testing, system design, systems integration, commissioning, equipment servicing, and retrofit services.
Requirements
- B.S. in an engineering-related discipline (preferably mechanical or electrical engineering) or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- 2-3 years of field service experience with industrial instrumentation and controls validation.
- Familiarity with programs / software such as Rockwell Factory Talk, Tridium, Schneider Electric, Siemens Apogee, Ignition, Eaton Networks, Field Servers, Jace Controllers, Modbus RTU / TCP, Bacnet, Niagara.
- Experience in the mission-critical sector is highly valued.
- Proficiency with Windows and associated skills.
- Knowledge of SCADA, BMS, PLC systems, and low voltage controls.
- Understanding of HMI system integration and SCADA applications.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and control diagrams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized.
Day to Day
- Provide high-level technical service, including engineering support and system controls design.
- Assist in developing cost-effective SCADA controls and system solutions.
- Work with team members to ensure correct IP infrastructure and system integration.
- Assist with BMS system deployments and PLC code development on construction sites.
- Validate BMS system sequences and provide CX support for system testing and commissioning.
- Implement QA procedures to ensure project quality control.
- Write detailed daily reports on project milestones.
- Complete ISA data sheets for various sensors and control valves.
- Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of facility monitoring systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair controls hardware efficiently.
