Founded in 1966,
Friendship is seeking a Full Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Friendship North team, located on Hershberger Road The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for administering an occupational therapy treatment program under the supervision of a licensed and registered Occupation Therapist.
They must communicate regularly with the supervising Occupational Therapist, document and record the patient’s condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate occupational therapy method.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Execute goal-oriented treatment plans and programs in coordination with other departments
- Adhere to departmental, organization and regulatory agency policies and procedures
- Assess treatment plan progressions to identify any deficiencies and make adjustment as needed
- Participate in program development, quality assurance and improvement efforts
- Supervise and collaborate with rehab aides / techs, students and others as assigned
Qualifications :
- Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant License required
- Active NBCOT certification required
- Experience in a long-term care / rehabilitation facility preferred
