Plumbers Apprentice
We are looking for plumbing apprentices to be a part of Lawton Mechanical Contractors, our commercial construction company.

Job Description :
- Willingness to learn the trade of plumbing through hands-on training.
- Learn to perform all repairs, replacements and installations to meet or exceed the minimum local codes with the quality materials.
- Learn products, materials, and supplies that we utilize in order to correctly service and install them through proper training
- Assemble and install plumbing systems
- Troubleshoot and repair pipe and pipeline systems
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Assist lead plumber with all phases of the job, ground up
- Assist plumber in maintaining a neat and safe work area.
- Exude a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
Job Qualifications :
- Must have a current Texas Apprenticeship Card
- 2 year experience minimum
- Must be a good communicator, verbal and written
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check(s).
- Must have a good driving record and the ability to be insured.
- Able to bend, walk, stand, crawl and climb ladders.
- Able to lift 75 lbs.
- Able to work in a variety of environmental conditions and observe proper safety precautions.

WORK HOURS :
Generally an 8 hour workday which may begin at 7 : 00 or 8 : 00 am and ends approximately 4 : 00 or 5 : 00 pm. Nights, weekends and on-call rotations are required.
Overtime as required in order to complete all assigned tasks of this position.
COMPENSATION :
This is a full-time non-exempt position that is eligible for overtime.
