The Resident Advisor (RA), in conjunction with the Associate Director of Transitional Programs, provides day-to-day guidance and assistance to residential residents, in a safe and secure environment.
- The Resident Advisor provides support and guidance to residential residents in the Heartline Treatment facility.
- Conduct facility checks on multiple floors to ensure residents safety and facility sanitation.
- Develop and post a schedule of weekly tasks for each resident and communicate the shared responsibilities of upkeep for the facility.
- Administer breathalyzer test for alcohol screenings and urine collection for illegal drugs, along with physical searches of residents, vehicles, and personal effects.
- Pass medication, perform audits for missing / refillable medicine and document information for such on the daily log.
- Administer first aid when appropriate; assist or secure medical care for the residential residents in the event of injury or illness.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Transitional Programs, Director of Transitional Programs, or the CEO.
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in human services preferred. Prior experience in human service field with a basic understanding of alcohol and / or drug treatment.
Must have and maintain an active and valid driver’s license in the state of Michigan.
