We are in search of a Payroll Customer Service professional to join our team in San Ramon, California. Our industry calls for the provision of high-quality and timely support to both internal and external customers.

As a Payroll Customer Service professional, your role will focus on handling inquiries related to payroll, timecards, and more while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

This role is a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the first point of contact via phone call or email for issues related to payroll and time entry systems.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of departmental functions to resolve issues accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Process and document transactions or initiate forms to be resolved by Payroll Operations.
  • Educate branch offices about timelines, procedures, and the cost / benefit of various alternatives.
  • Manage high volume of customer interactions daily, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality of response.
  • Maintain detailed understanding of multiple systems and business processes used within the Customer Service and Payroll Operation departments.
  • Educate candidates about the various self-service options via websites and Interactive Voice Response.
  • Handle a variety of service requests relating to payroll, benefits, employment verification, and more.
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status.
  • Field candidate calls related to payroll, timecards, I-9, and password resets.
  • Proficient in Call Center Customer Service
  • Experience with Benefits Payroll
  • Familiarity with Multi-state Payroll
  • Solid knowledge of Payroll
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Experience with payroll software and HRIS
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
