We are currently assisting our client with a Materials Manager search located near Little Rock, AR. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Materials Manager will be responsible for managing and implementing manufacturing materials operations and strategy to ensure the achievement of plant goals.
This manager will be responsible for the master scheduling, inventory management, and logistics operations.
Responsibilities :
- Manage aspects of material management to include : scheduling, inventory control management, sourcing and procurement to include a team of buyers.
- Forecast material needs while maximizing the utilization of current inventory
- Plan and implement lean improvements to maximize materials planning and distribution
- Ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements
- Determine best course of actions to improve distribution efficiency
Requirements :
- Bachelor Degree in Logistics or Business or related discipline
- 5 + years of industrial materials management
- Must have proven experience leading a materials / supply chain department or program with direct reports
