Network Engineer
Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Network Engineer who will support a government contract located in Ft. Belvoir, VA.
Responsibilities for the Network Engineer :
- Work with Government engineers to develop and maintain the AECC architecture.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for deployment and sustainment of the VMware NSX network architecture in the AECC.
- As applications are hosted on the AECC solution, utilize IaC for the provisioning of the network foundation for customer enclaves.
- Provide daily administration of the network to include patching and upgrading of all VMware network components in coordination with the full suite of VMware products.
- Monitor health and utilization of the network resources and notify the AECC lead when critical issues arise, and additional resources will be required.
- Harden the network per commercial best practices and the required government cybersecurity controls.
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of any hosting platform network issues.
- Develop and maintain system, infrastructure, and process documentation (system diagrams, network topology, software configurations, device configurations, standard operating procedures).
Qualifications for the Network Engineer :
- 8 years of relative experience
- Secret Clearance
- Knowledge of TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, OR VMWare
- Bachelors Degree in a related field and IAT Level II cert
Compensation for the Network Engineer :
- $120,000 $145,000 *Depending on Experience.
