Position :
Clinical Nurse SpecialistNICU
Responsibilities :
- Support supervise and evaluate new staff in aclinical setting during their first 90 to 180 days on theunit.
- Act within the nursepatient nursenurseand nursesystem spheres.
- Facilitate amultidisciplinary and collaborative approach to healthcare within aspecialty area.
- Promote excellence in nursingcare through the implementation of clinical standards of practiceand establishing competency standards for staff members.
- Demonstrate a firm knowledge base and clinicalexpertise.
- Function as a clinical resourceconduct patient care consultations and provide resources to assessthe impact of appropriate practice on patient outcomes.
- Support clinical rounds with the multidisciplinaryhealthcare team and work closely and collaboratively withphysicians.
Requirements :
Required Qualifications :
- Masters Degree from a clinical nursespecialist program accredited by the Commission on CollegiateNursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for NursingAccrediting Commission (NLNAC).
- AlaskaRegistered Nurse License upon hire.
- NationalProvider BLS American Heart Association upon hire.
- Current certification in area of specialty (e.g. CENCCRN) upon hire.
- 3 years of registered nursingexperience in the area of specialty.
- 2 yearsof clinical leadership responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications :
CNS certification in area of specialty uponhire.
