Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs a broad range of Custodial and Maintenance services ensuring the facility operates safely, effectively, and efficiently.
This person is also required to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities
Facilities Maintenance Technician Level 1 :
1. Responsible for cleaning building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them.
2. Responsible for gathering and emptying trash and operating trash and cardboard compactor.
3. Cleans, service and supply restrooms.
4. Clean water filter deposits.
5. Clean windows and mirrors, polish and dust furniture.
6. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies either manually or by using a hand truck.
7. Change light bulbs.
8. Assists in maintaining the HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
9. Assists in painting and carpentry needs.
10. Assists in assembly of furniture, logistic supplies and racking systems.
11. Maintain a safe environment for building occupants.
12. Responsible for working according to the company’s safety and quality standards.
13. Performs other related duties as required and or as assigned.
Facilities Maintenance Technician Level 2 :
14. Performs routine and preventative maintenance such as changing ballasts, painting and drywall repairs, changing a / c filters and belts.
15. Makes adjustments and minor repairs to HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
16. Uses company vehicle for pick-up and delivery purposes along with inspecting and maintaining vehicle.
17. Ability to operate a Forklift and Scissor Lift.

Qualifications
Facilities Maintenance Technician Level 1 :
- Must have past Janitorial or cleaning experience.
- Comprehension of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Knowledge of building systems maintenance.
- Knowledge of common hand and power tools and industrial clean supply usage.
- Prioritizes safety related to construction, repair and maintenance work.
- Able to understand basic work and safety instructions in English.
Facilities Maintenance Technician Level 2 :
- Current Driver’s License
- Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Forklift training certification
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Requires climbing, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Requires repetitive movements with fingers, hands, wrist, and arms.
- Requires willingness to work outdoors under varying climate conditions.
