As a member of the Data Solutions group in the Global Software and Informatics Marketing (SWIM) team, you will own a portfolio that enables population genomics initiatives to advance precision medicine and biological research, as well as the strategy and execution for enabling enterprise-level informatics solutions.
This includes driving roadmap for the cohort building and exploration tool Illumina Connected Analytics (ICA) Cohorts and scientific computing environment ICA Bench, and defining how Illumina’s Connected Software portfolio supports enterprise organizations’ unique needs.
In this influential role you will work closely with Illumina’s global commercial, marketing, and development teams to shape and execute on a strategy to develop and deploy solutions for enterprises and large-scale genomic initiatives.
Tasks And Responsibilities
- Manage portfolio of software products encompassing population genomics and genomic data science
- Develop a shared vision for positioning and configuring enterprise informatics solutions with Illumina Connected Software
- Continuous engagement across the organization and with leadership to ensure alignment on strategy and progress against KPIs
- Build close relationships with key customers, though leaders, and industry influencers to guide product strategy and focus areas
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure coordination to bring customers’ needs into the Development organization
- Work with Product Marketing, Regional Marketing, Sales, and Professional Services teams to prioritize target customers and deliver them with clear solutions and a path to implementation that fits their needs
- Participate in cross-functional programs to advance Illumina’s informatics strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and / or PhD strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of genetics and genomics technologies, and experience with genomics markets and informatics products
- At least 6 years of experience in product management, sales, business development or other functional area
- Experience leading the execution of multiple successful product management SaaS product launches
- Strong analytical skills and ability to tie detailed analysis to larger strategy
- Demonstrated effective collaboration in matrixed or highly cross-functional business settings, especially with product development and commercial groups
- Demonstrated success in a customer facing role, ability to deliver compelling presentations and influence at all levels, both internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence scientists, corporate and healthcare executives
The estimated base salary range for the Staff Product Manager - Enterprise Informatics role based in the United States of America is : $126,800 - $190,200.
Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly.
Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
