Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain an accurate general ledger through comprehensive accounting activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly and annual accounting close tasks, including various journal entries.
- Process accounts payable transactions, track vendor invoices, and manage internal accounting systems.
- Oversee monthly commissions, producer bonus processes, and produce annual 1099 statements for advisors and brokers.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including all bank accounts.
- Assist with internal and external audits to ensure financial statement integrity.
- Support monthly expense reporting and annual budget processes at the department level.
- Lead data analysis activities to support business decisions, including data preparation for management.
- Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting and financial operations.
- Basic understanding of accounting systems (Oracle NetSuite a plus) and accounting theory.
- Experience with financial control assessments and structures.
- Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables and advanced formulas.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer orientation and adaptability to feedback.
- Team player with strong collaboration and business partnering skills.
