Minimum 1+ years paraprofessional or special education experience required.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a School Paraprofessional for a 1-on-1 position in a high school setting.

This role involves providing essential support and guidance to a male student with specific needs. The ideal candidate should possess either Para Praxis certification or have completed a minimum of 60 college credits.

Responsibilities :

• Provide one-on-one support and assistance to a male student within the high school setting.
• Assist the student in understanding and completing assignments, ensuring comprehension and academic progress.
• Implement individualized educational plans under the guidance of the supervising teacher.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive environment conducive to the student's learning and development.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other staff members to address the student's needs effectively.
• Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding the student's progress and any concerns.

Qualifications :

• Para Praxis certification OR completion of at least 60 college credits.
• Previous experience working with students, particularly those with special needs, is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with students.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively within a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the student and school environment.
• Must pass background checks and meet all state and district requirements for employment.
