POSITION SPECIFIC DETAILS :
Location : East Madison, 30 Dempsey Road
Schedule - Tuesday - Friday
Hours 2 : 30 - 4 : 45 pm - Part Year*
Location : Union Corners, 2674 Milwaukee Street

Hours : 7 : 00 am - 9 : 00am. and or 3 : 00 pm- 5 : 00 pm, Part Year*
Pay : $16.21 / hour
SUMMARY :
The Bus Aide will assist with the daily pick-up and delivery of children on the bus route. The Bus Aide will provide a developmentally appropriate transportation experience for children, as well as ensure that all children are safe on the bus route.
Provide safe boarding, riding, and exiting of passengers.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS :
Be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Successfully pass the Caregiver Background Check
Successfully pass a physical examination, which verifies the employee is free from communicable diseases and is physically able to perform required job responsibilities
Maintain the interior of assigned bus so as to guarantee a clean and sanitary environment for individuals being transported
Demonstrate sensitivity toward all cultures
Ability to participate in all required bus aide training and professional development
Experience working with low-income, multicultural families
Ability to address the needs of children with disabilities
Bilingual, particularly Spanish and / or Hmong, is desired
Physical dexterity, coordination, mobility, visual acuity and emotion health to perform the essential functions of the position including the ability to lift and / or restrain children of varying levels and sizes
Obtain Pediatric CPR certification within 6 months of employment
Knowledge of basic first aid
Part Year employees have built in vacations which include summer break, 2 weeks in winter, and spring break (part year staff follow the school district calendar in which their program is located)
