Production Operator

Meyer Utility Structures is searching for a Production Operator for our plant in Fort Pierce, FL. As a member of the production team at Meyer Utility Structures, you’ll work with a great group of people who really care about the job you do.

As a Production Operator, you’ll follow specific instructions to perform a variety of routine manual labor tasks or assist skilled workers in simple production, process or maintenance tasks.

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete, lattice, and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications.

With over sixty years of innovative engineering and manufacturing expertise, Meyer has helped to author and validate many of today’s transmission industry standards and specifications.

What you’ll do :

• Perform and assist other skilled workers involved in the production of concrete poles including fabrication, demolding, finishing and assembly by a variety of functions such as assembling and placing component parts, sorting, and counting, cleaning, sweeping, storing of tools and other tasks as needed
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, production manuals and work instructions
• Participate in inventories of materials and supplies
• Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
• Follow all safety practices, procedures and protocols
• Become involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes and other mobile equipment as required

What you’ll need :

• Minimum of year of relevant experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of a manufacturing work environment
• Ability to work daily overtime and weekends if needed.
• Ability to work in different weather conditions (hot / cold).
• The ability to maintain good attendance.
• The ability to be a strong team member.

• Realizar y ayudar a otros trabajadores calificados involucrados en la producción de postes de concreto, incluida la fabricación, desmolde, acabado y ensamblaje mediante una variedad de funciones tales como ensamblar y colocar componentes, clasificar y contar, limpiar, barrer, almacenar herramientas y otras tareas como necesario
• Leer e interpretar planos de fabricación, manuales de producción e instrucciones de trabajo.
• Participar en inventarios de materiales y suministros.
• Realizar tareas laborales manuales generales que incluyen cargar, descargar, levantar y mover materiales.
• Seguir todas las prácticas, procedimientos y protocolos de seguridad.
• Involucrarse en comités o iniciativas de seguridad.
• Realizar otras tareas que le sean asignadas
• Operar montacargas, puentes grúa y otros equipos móviles según sea necesario.

Lo que necesitarás :

• Se prefiere un mínimo de año de experiencia relevante.
• Conocimiento básico de manufactura.
• La capacidad de mantener una buena asistencia.
• Disponibilidad para trabajar horario extendido a diario y fines de semanas de ser necesario
• Poder trabajare en distintas condiciones climáticas.
• La capacidad de trabajar en equipo.
