Job Title : Lead DevOps Engineer Container Platform

Location : Bellevue, WA

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Kubernetes team. This role is responsible for building and managing Kubernetes clusters for our platform team, with a focus on high availability, performance, and security.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Kubernetes, networking, data management, automation, and scripting, as well as a data-driven approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the build and management of Kubernetes clusters for the platform team across bare metal and cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and CI / CD pipelines to streamline deployment and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust networking and data storage solutions.
  • Optimize system performance using data-driven analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and oversee security measures, ensuring compliance across systems and processes.
  • Manage and support data storage solutions, including Portworx and other data management tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes, networking, and automation.

Required Technical Skills :

  • Kubernetes Expertise : 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes, including bare metal Kubernetes and Metal as a Service (MaaS).
  • Coding and Scripting : 5+ years of proficiency in coding / scripting languages such as Python, Go, and Bash.
  • CI / CD Tools : 5+ years of hands-on experience with CI / CD tools and pipelines, such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  • Automation Tools : 5+ years of experience with automation tools and frameworks, including Ansible and Terraform.
  • Networking Skills : Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, with experience designing and implementing networking solutions.
  • Data Management Tools : Proficiency with Portworx or similar data storage solutions.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Certifications in Kubernetes, cloud platforms, or DevOps practices.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.

Good to Have Skills :

  • Experience in a DevOps or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a team environment
