Microsoft Cloud Engineer

OVERVIEW

As a Microsoft Cloud Engineer, you’ll be a key player in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud solutions that empower our users to leverage the full potential of cloud technologies.

The responsibilities include managing cloud environments in accordance with security guidelines, develop best practices, educate teams on the implementation of cloud-based initiatives, providing training as required, and making recommendations as needed to help the company adapt to cloud technologies.

Through familiarity with Cloud technologies, coupled with industry recognized best practices, you will have the role of helping to provide a robust compute environment to our business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Microsoft Cloud Expertise :

• Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Cloud Solutions including Azure Hypervisor, Azure Express Route, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Dynamics.
• Provide technical leadership in the deployment and maintenance of cloud-based services.
• Knowledge of Cloud cost management strategies.
• Maintaining cloud components to maximize their uptime and performance and minimize their cost.

On Premise to Cloud Migrations :

• Lead and execute on premise to cloud migration projects.
• Develop migration strategies, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows server Operating Systems, Server management tools such as SCCM, Active Directory, and SQL Server with clustering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, plan, and execute migration activities.
• Identify opportunities for offerings within the organization which could benefit migrating to the cloud.

VMWare Virtual Environments :

• Demonstrate proficiency in managing VMWare Horizon VDI environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain virtualization solutions to optimize performance and resources.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing Microsoft Hyper-V virtual environments.

Backup & Recovery Technologies :

• Utilize expertise in Veeam backup technologies to ensure data protection and recovery.
• Implement and manage backup strategies for both on premise and cloud-based environments.
• Ensure all components have adequate measures in place for business continuity.
• Ensure all components have adequate monitoring and logging to prevent outages.

Collaboration and Communication :

• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and align solutions.
• Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders providing updates and feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Requirements :

• Minimum 4 years of experience
• Cloud infrastructure
• Experience in cloud-based infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, etc)
• Experience in networking protocols, security, and management
• Experience in VMware, Citrix and VDI environments
• Experience in Backup and Recovery (Veeam)
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desired Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Microsoft Cloud Engineer with a focus of on premise to cloud migrations.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Cloud technologies, including Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong expertise in VMWare virtualization technologies.

Relevant certifications as a plus :

• Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect
• VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)
• Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)

Salary Range : $80000.0000 To $120000.0000 Annually
