Here’s what you’ll be doing :
Innovative Design and Development : Establish design criteria and create horizontal and vertical alignments. Perform superelevation design, and prepare comprehensive design calculations for various roadway-related tasks.
Expert Plan Preparation : Utilize your production-level proficiency with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Plan Development Guide and Design Wiki to prepare detailed contract documents, including construction plans and proposal packages.
Advanced 3D Modeling : Leverage your production-level experience in 3D modeling and plan development to bring projects to life with precision and accuracy.
Traffic Control Plans : Develop effective traffic control plans to ensure the safety and efficiency of our transportation projects.
Comprehensive Documentation : Prepare contract special provisions, cost estimates, and conduct field work to document condition assessments and existing conditions.
Quality Assurance : Implement our corporate Quality Assurance Plan to maintain the highest standards of excellence in all our projects.
Collaborative Proposal Development : Work closely with our sales staff to create compelling proposals in response to client requests for proposals (RFPs).
Industry Engagement : Enhance the visibility of CDM Smith’s products and services by attending conferences, symposia, and other industry events in collaboration with our sales team.
Mentorship and Leadership : Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior staff, fostering their growth and development within the discipline and the firm.
Supervise the work of junior engineers on project work.
