Work location : Trumbull, CT

• Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business
• Maintaining relationships with suppliers while supporting Strategic Sourcing in and in some cases driving for alternative suppliers to minimize disruption and strengthen supply chain resiliency
• Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries
• Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production
• Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement
• Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages
• Supervising a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary
• Travel domestically and internationally upwards of 10%.
• Minimum : Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Management or related field
• Preferred : Master's degree in supply chain management or business administration (MBA)
• 10 years+ of experience in procurement role(s). Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing preferred
• 5 years+ of experience leading team(s)
• Experience in using and improving ERP systems. Experience with Dynamics 365, Navision, or DataWorks preferred
• Knowledge of processes in sales, marketing, operations, finance, and manufacturing
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Demonstrated ability to achieve KPIs like on time, in full
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
