We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team! You will perform quality checkpoints and inspections in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Items and other technical documentation.
You will develop Test Inspection Plans (TIP) and validate Test Inspection Records (TIR) and other Objective Quality Evidence (OQE).
Experience with welding requirements is a strong plus.
Responsibilities :
- Develop, review and update project TIPs
- Review, approve and maintain OQE for projects
- Conduct quality inspections aboard US Govt Vessels
- Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations
- Implement and improve quality control operating procedures
- Enter, update and monitor TIPs in NMD.
- Participate in routine visual inspections
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications :
- Previous work experience in quality control or other related fields - ex-military a plus!
- Experience with Hull, Mechanical & Electrical work on US Navy ships
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge with shipboard compartmentalization is a must.
- The ability to type at least 50 words per minute is a must.
