Palliative Care Physician

The Palliative Care Physician is responsible for providing medical care and treatment to hospice patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.

They will collaborate with patients' attending physicians and provide guidance to staff and volunteers to ensure quality care.

In addition, they will participate in clinical education and training for hospice patient care and admissions.

  • Must be a member in good standing on the medical staff of an accredited hospital
  • Knowledge of primary medical care and oncology
  • Expertise in palliative medicine and symptom management for terminal illness
  • Registered with the Drug Enforcement Agency to write scheduled prescriptions
  • Current license to practice in state and board certified in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or related specialty
